Automotive Academy as part of its on-job training, has access to Auto Super Shoppe workshops, Supplier parts retail and wholesale shops, dealerships, and other Automotive related workplaces.

The learners complete as part of their training over the 12-week course, once a week on job training in a variety of workplaces. This experience gives the learner an opportunity to try out not only the type of work offered but whether they would like to work in any of the workshops if a position is offered. The prospective employers enjoy working with the learners, giving them many opportunities to train before graduating.

The graduates from Automotive Academy can sometimes have more than one offer of employment. We have also had a few graduates that have pursued other Automotive type positions whether that be front of house in an Automotive Workshop or a position in the parts industry.

Our graduates are very sought after and once in employment they can continue their training with MITO mito.org.nz to complete their Apprenticeship. There are also other courses offered by MTA mta.org.nz that could further their learning e.g., customer service, first aid.
